Josh Hammond has been with Mathnasium since 2016, having previously worked as a Centre Director in the USA, and has over 10 years of experience working with children of all ages. Josh is passionate about making a difference in his students' lives. Josh loves nothing more than to see his students grow in confidence and develop a love for maths! In his spare time Josh enjoys creative pursuits, spending time outdoors, and spending time with his family and pets!
Assistant Centre Director
Fabio Zamuner has enjoyed working with people in various roles over the last 10 years. He is experienced in assisting disabled and special needs adults, and got involved in volunteering in clown therapy which he strongly recommends for all. He has also worked as an instructor focusing on fostering teamwork and building self-confidence. Fabio excels in working with children. His outgoing personality and enthusiasm provides the children under his care with fun and confidence! He is excited to work at Mathnasium where he can continue his earlier experience as a Maths tutor and pass on his love for Maths. Outside of work Fabio loves the outdoors in general and is passionate about climbing and skiing.
Yolanda Harris completed her Bachelor of Arts and Masters in Computer Science at Cambridge University and worked in investment banking, specialising in project management, people development, performance management and training for more than 20 years. She loves maths and studied it during her first year in university. She also likes cricket and previously managed the U13 and U15 women’s county cricket squads. Now she focuses on umpiring and scoring, so don’t be surprised if you see her at a cricket match! When not in the cricket season, Yolanda loves to travel, and recently hiked the Inca Trail and canoed the Zambezi.
Tom Stokes has a Mathematics degree from the University of Surrey. He enjoys thinking about maths problems and explaining maths to others in new and creative ways. In his spare time, Tom enjoys reading ancient Greek and speed solving rubix cubes of various shapes and sizes!
Alice Hughes is currently working towards a geography undergraduate degree at Cambridge University, having previously completed A-levels in maths, further maths, physics and geography. She has always loved maths and enjoys working with children both in tutoring and as a girl guide leader. When she’s not studying she enjoys cooking, crafting and yoga.
Nikhil Ferwerda is currently studying Medicine in Aberdeen, having studied both Maths and Further Maths at Dr Challoners. He loves teaching at Mathnasium and especially enjoys helping students with tricky maths problems! In his spare time Nikhil enjoys swimming and playing the trumpet.
Ewan Mayhew is a gap year student with a passion for Mathematics, Physics, and the communication of science. For A levels he took Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and English Literature at Dr. Challoners, obtaining A*s in all 4 subjects. Outside Mathnasium, Ewan has completed at a national level in both team swimming events and in national Physics competitions, obtaining the highest award in the 2020 British Physics Olympiad. From September, Ewan will be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Physical Natural Sciences at Emmanuel College Cambridge.
Madhu Krishnakumar is a gap year student who loves working with children and has a passion for helping others. She took Maths, Chemistry and Biology for her A Levels and is looking to study Medicine at University. Outside of Mathnasium, she loves running and tennis, and solving tricky Maths problems.
Jenna Bates is currently studying for her Maths, Further maths, Chemistry and Art A levels, having achieved a 9 in maths and chemistry at GCSE. She is determined to help younger students gain a passion for mathematics. In her free time, she enjoys playing video games and spending time with friends.
Kaushal Ferwerda achieved 9s in Maths and Physics at GCSE level and passed his A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and History, and now studies Economics at University. Kaushal is passionate about helping younger students reach their potential in maths. He enjoys football, swimming, and playing the guitar in his spare time. When not studying, Kaushal loves spending time with his friends.
Billy Craddock is currently studying Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, and Economics at A-Level, having achieved a 9 in Maths and Further Maths at GCSE. Billy enjoys helping students build their confidence and make progress with their Maths. In his free time, Billy enjoys playing football and spending time with friends.
Maya Batavia is currently studying for her A-Levels in Maths, Chemistry, and Spanish. She has a passion to help students solve challenging maths problems and improve their maths skills. In her spare time, she loves dancing and meeting up with friends.
Dhilan Nathwani is currently studying for his A-levels in Maths, History and Economics. Having got a 9 in Maths and Further Maths at GCSE, he has a passion for mental arithmetic, and wants to help children improve their maths skills. Outside of school, he enjoys playing sport, especially football and hockey.
Eshen Saund is currently studying for his A-levels in maths, further maths, physics and economics. He achieved a grade 9 in both Maths and Further Maths at GCSE. He is friendly, personable and loves to help students comprehend and excel in maths. In his spare time, Eshen loves cycling, playing the piano and spending time with his family and friends.
Anushka is currently studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science for A levels at Dr Challoners's where she achieved a grade 9 in Maths and Physics at GCSE. In her free time, she loves attending RAFAC in Chesham and doing Taekwondo.
Abby Lemon is currently studying level 2 Accounting at college and wants to study level 3 next year. Abby also enjoys Textiles and is making a dress for a sewing course at the moment. Abby volunteers in Barnardo's children's charity as she likes giving back to her community.
Boaz Wong is currently studying for his A-Levels in Maths, Further Maths and Physics, having got a 9 in Maths and Further Maths at GCSE. He is passionate about teaching students and helping them gain interest in Maths. In his free time he enjoys playing the piano and viola, as well as video games.
